Obituary

Peacefully, at Lee Manor, Owen Sound on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in her 89th year. Born March 31, 1933, May Thompson was the eldest daughter of Clarence and Muriel Thompson (nee Graubarger). May married the late Sheridan Romphf in June of 1953. They had 3 children together, Sheryl, of Owen Sound, Terrence, of Edmonton, and Dwayne (Cathie), of Brampton. May was the very proud grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 10.

May was a member of the Royal Canadian Airforce before her marriage and has lived a life of service through her many years of volunteer driving for Home and Community support and the Canadian Cancer Society and was a volunteer for 26 years at the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre.

Her love of cooking brought her great joy, and she has fed many hungry mouths in Owen Sound since moving here in the 1980’s. She has also educated many on how to make better food choices for a healthier lifestyle and the use of supplements through the years she spent at Whole Foods in downtown Owen Sound.

An active member of her church for many years, May will be missed by many whose lives she touched.

Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
